2023 Industry AI Promotion Task Force (SIG) Application Guidelines
Introduction
Based on the core technologies and research capabilities of our nation's information and communication industry, we aim to swiftly build a smart service system ecosystem intertwined with the niche market demands of specific sectors. This will enable Taiwan’s industry entry into the global smart system value chain, continuously strengthening the development of Taiwan's information and digital industries. This is accomplished by linking supply and demand resources through the application service development environment (AI HUB platform) to promote cross-sectoral co-creation and drive intelligent industrial development. It is hoped that, together with public associations, we will organize the Industry AI Promotion Task Force (SIG) to locally assist in the intelligent upgrade and transformation of relevant industries, co-creating an AI development blueprint for the industry and facilitating the practical application on the ground, thereby assisting the industry in promoting digital transformation.
Application Regulations
1. Applicant Eligibility
The proposing units are associations or societies registered as legal entities according to national regulations or other units approved by competent authorities. The emphasis is on leveraging the influential power of the applicants in promoting industrial development, assisting industries to quickly enter into a phase of intelligent upgrading and transformation.
2. Application Themes
In line with the overall direction for promoting industry AI, the proposal encourages companies to adopt AI technology, developing intelligent solutions focusing on processes, devices, and services applications integrated with field trials to establish smart application cases. The SIG applications will primarily include the following themes: 'Public Good· ESG,' 'Process· Net-zero Carbon,' 'Medical/Care/Health,' and 'Commercial· Services.'
1. Public Good· ESG: Oriented towards social inclusion, facilitating public understanding of public issues, proposing innovative public interest plans, etc., to build a more resilient society for Taiwan. For example: support for socially disadvantaged groups, social participation, interpersonal connections, public services, environmental friendliness and sustainability, etc.
2. Process· Net-zero Carbon: From a software perspective, it attempts to introduce AI technologies in various production/manufacturing industry applications to assist in predictive analytics of carbon audit data, providing rapid and precise decarbonization recommendations. Examples include intelligent scheduling parameter prediction, renewable energy energy-saving analysis, and process energy saving prediction.
3. Medical/Care/Health: The biomedical industry is one of the six core strategic industries in Taiwan, and the issue of medical care for the aging population is globally applicable. Introducing technologies such as image recognition and voice recognition in health management and disease prevention/diagnosis applications. Examples: personnel behavior/action recognition, diagnostic assistance, automatic medical record generation, care alerts.
4. Commercial· Services: For various online/offline transaction, purchase, or service models, attempts to introduce AI data analysis technology in functions such as consumer behavior analysis, logistics, and inventory management, to enhance precise marketing strategies. Examples: intelligent precise recommendation, automatic broadcast content generation, consumer behavior tracking and prediction.
