2021 AI Technical Service Institutions Capacity Registration Application Begins

Foreword

The Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, has planned to establish a capacity classification and registration mechanism for AI technology service organizations. Through this credible mechanism, we aim to inventory the domestic AI technology and service capacities, construct an AI industry map within the country, and assist IT service providers in enhancing their products and services with AI, thus expanding industry service and scale, accelerating the introduction of AI applications in industries, and enhancing industry value and competitiveness.

Those who pass the AI Technical Service Institutions Capacity Registration will receive a certificate from the Industrial Development Bureau. The certification will be announced on the Industrial Guidance 1999 platform and the Industrial Development Bureau's AI HUB platform (aihub.org.tw). Announcement to assist industry players in meeting demand, expand industrial competitiveness, and create cooperation opportunities. In the future, the AI energy registration mechanism will also serve as a reference for the government to promote artificial intelligence-themed tutoring program proposal units to meet the qualifications of artificial intelligence capabilities.

Application Rules

1. Definition of Technical Scope:

In this registration, 'artificial intelligence' refers to simulation of human cognition, autonomous reasoning, or knowledge work capabilities in specific or general domains, based on novel algorithmic modeling methods such as machine learning and deep learning, whether as a core business or integrated into existing industrial, integrated hardware/software, or consulting service offerings.

2. Eligibility:

Companies incorporated under the company law of our country and registered by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, or professional service partnerships legally established.

March 25, 2021 (Thursday).

5. How to Apply:

Submit one copy of the AI Technical Service Institutions Capacity Registration Application and Declaration, and seven copies of the AI Technical Service Institutions Capacity Registration Project Proposal. Send to: Information Software Association, Industry Service Division, Group 1, 6th Floor, No. 239, Section 2, Chengde Road, Datong District, Taipei City, 103, Taiwan. Please label the envelope with 'AI Technical Service Institutions Capacity Registration Application' and your company's full name.

6. Information Session:

To help companies understand the categories and key points of the AI capacity registration, three information sessions will be held in the northern, central, and southern regions of the country. We encourage active participation.
